Abstract

The article examines modern approaches to the formation of the readiness of future physical education teachers to maintain the health of schoolchildren by means of outdoor games. The education and upbringing of children is a pedagogical process aimed at forming and strengthening in them the ability to take care of their own health and working capacity, as well as at developing the skills of organizing and maintaining daily physical activity. It is at school age that the foundations of a conscious attitude to one’s own physical fitness and understanding of the importance of physical activity are formed.

It is important to instill in children the need for regular physical activity in a timely manner. The most favorable for this is school age, which continues the formation of the foundations laid in preschool age. Today, this problem is mostly solved only by educational institutions that have the appropriate personnel and material and technical base for full-fledged physical education. Achieving significant results in solving the physical health of schoolchildren requires new approaches, technologies and means.

The purpose of the study is to determine effective ways to train future physical education teachers to preserve the health of schoolchildren. The research methodology is the systematization and study of scientific publications, analysis of scientific and educational and methodological literature, Internet sources, disclosure of the main definitions of the problem under study, generalizations and conclusions.

The scientific novelty is to determine the impact of innovative approaches involving interactive, game technologies in the educational process of training future physical education teachers in higher education institutions, which contributes to the formation of their readiness for preserving the health of schoolchildren in secondary education institutions.

Conclusions. The author of the article concludes that the knowledge and skills acquired by the applicant when studying game technologies allow future specialists to form the ability to apply general and special research methods; to form on this basis a systematic scientific worldview, moral and ethical values, civic and social positions, professional and academic ethics, and a general cultural outlook. Of great importance is the ability to engage in pedagogical activity with observance of academic and professional integrity and the readiness of students to use modern health-saving technologies, specialized software in scientific, educational and professional activities.
