ANALYSIS OF MEDIA TEXTS IN THE CONTEXT OF DEVELOPMENT OF FUTURE TEACHERS' MEDIA LITERACY: THEORY AND EXPERIENCE

The purpose of the article is to characterize the theoretical foundations of media text analysis in the context of developing media literacy of future teachers, and to systematize the accumulated experience.
Methodology. The following methods were used in the research process: analysis of scientific literature on the research problem; method of observing the educational process in higher education institutions; analysis of tasks completed by students related to the analysis of media texts; systematization and generalization of the obtained practical results.
The research was based on the following methodological approaches: axiological, which provided for a targeted impact on the value-worldview sphere of future teachers with the aim of conscious and responsible consumption and production of media products; activity, which was aimed at actively involving future teachers in analytical activities with media texts in order to purposefully form their infomedia literacy; competence, which involves considering infomedia literacy as a component of media competence, as well as establishing connections between the phenomenon under study and general and professional competencies recorded in the relevant educational and professional programs, according to which future teachers are professionally trained.
Scientific novelty. The article presents the author's experience related to the formation of media text analysis skills in the context of forming infomedia literacy of future teachers in the process of their professional training in higher education institutions.
Conclusions. It was found that media texts are integrative formations, products of mass information activity and mass communication, which aims to influence the recipient, to convince him. It was stated that today in the scientific discourse approaches to the analysis of media texts in the educational process of secondary and higher education institutions have been developed, classifications of media texts based on various criteria have been proposed. In addition, some experience has been accumulated that requires comprehension and generalization. For this purpose, examples of tasks for the analysis of the content and ideological content of the article-promotion by Yu. Vynnychuk «Beautiful Soap Bubble» are given, and examples of student responses are also offered, which attested to the presence of their formed skills of observing the text, analyzing its content, the ability to take into account the context and subtext, to be attentive to facts and arguments, etc.
