The purpose of this study is to summarize information on the achievements of the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies. To achieve this goal, a detailed review of the results of the activities of each teacher of this structural unit of T.H. Shevchenko National University «Chernihiv Colehium» was conducted in the main areas of educational, scientific and organizational work.
Methodology. The methodological basis of this study is the problem-historical and comparative approaches. The research methods include the analysis of scientific and scientific-journalistic texts, as well as reports on the methodological, organizational and educational activities of the department members, materials from the press and digital mass media.
The scientific novelty of the study lies in the creation of the first ever systematic generalization of the pedagogical, scientific, methodological, organizational, educational, and cultural-educational achievements of the employees of the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies of T. H. Shevchenko National University «Chernihiv Colehium» over the more than 30-year period of its activity.
Conclusions. The Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies of T. H. Shevchenko National University «Chernihiv Colehium» has more than 30 years of history. The methodological credo of the department is the study of philosophical, aesthetic theories and ideas in the context of specific cultures, within which a dialogue of philosophy with mythology, science, religion, and art takes place. Every year, the department organizes or co-organizes international, all-Ukrainian and interuniversity scientific conferences. Over the past 5 years, members of the department have won and implemented four international projects. The department has clubs, a youth amateur theater «EX LIBRIS», and conducts environmental events.
As a result of the collection and systematization of the material, it can be concluded that the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies of T. H. Shevchenko National University «Chernihiv Colehium» has made and continues to make a significant contribution to sustainable development. This applies to all main forms of work: scientific, methodological, organizational, cultural and educational.
Of the 17 sustainable development goals defined by the UN, the activities of the department's teachers are directly related to seven. As expected, the following goals are most directly implemented: 4 – Quality Education, and 17 – Partnership for Sustainable Development. However, in the process of pedagogical, scientific, organizational, educational and cultural-educational activities, the department's teachers also contribute to the implementation of such goals as: 3 – Good health and well-being (in particular, in the psychological aspect), 5 – Gender equality, 11 – Sustainable development of cities and communities, 15 – Protection and restoration of terrestrial ecosystems.
The department's staff continues its active work in the difficult conditions of the Wide War. We hope that its subsequent achievements will continue the established tradition and become the subject of future scientific research.
