DEVELOPMENT OF PRESERVICE MUSIC TEACHERS’ EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE BY MEANS OF INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

The article deals with the problem of the preservice Music teachers’ emotional intelligence development by means of innovative technologies in the system of professional art education. The relevance of the study is due to the need to form an emotionally competent teacher capable of effective communication, creative interaction, emotional self-regulation and the creation of a favorable educational environment in the context of modern socio-cultural transformations.
The purpose of the article is to substantiate the pedagogical potential of innovative technologies in the preservice Music teachers’ emotional intelligence development and to determine the peculiarities of the development of this phenomenon by means of innovative technologies.
The research methodology is based on the use of a complex of general scientific and special methods: analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization of scientific literature, systematization of psychological and pedagogical sources, as well as methods of theoretical modeling and pedagogical forecasting.
The scientific novelty of the study is in clarifying the essence of the preservice Music teachers’ emotional intelligence development by means of innovative technologies as an integrative process that combines emotional, cognitive, creative and communicative components of professional training; substantiating the pedagogical potential of innovative technologies in the development of students’ emotional intelligence; determining the peculiarities of the development of emotional intelligence by means of innovative technologies.
Conclusions. The development of the preservice Music teachers’ emotional intelligence is an important component of their professional training and a necessary condition for effective pedagogical activity. It has been substantiated that innovative technologies have significant potential in the development of emotional intelligence of students of art education. The identified peculiarities of the preservice Music teachers’ emotional intelligence development by means of innovative technologies are the combination of emotional and cognitive components, activation of creative and communicative activity, strengthening of reflective processes, individualization of learning, development of emotional stability and creation of an emotionally comfortable artistic and educational environment. The use of innovative technologies contributes to the formation of professionally significant qualities, activation of the emotional and value sphere of students, development of empathy, emotional self-regulation, reflection and creative thinking.
