Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of the article is to substantiate a model for implementing a practice-oriented approach in the process of forming students' practical programming skills and to verify its effectiveness within the educational process.

Methodology. The study employs problem-based, systemic, and practice-oriented approaches, as well as general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison, and generalization. These methods facilitated the design of a model that visualizes the process of developing practical programming skills in students.

Scientific Novelty. The article develops a model for implementing a practice-oriented approach to the formation of students' practical programming skills and substantiates the feasibility of its implementation in the educational process.

It has been established that the practice-oriented approach is a key qualitative factor in forming students' practical programming skills, which is essential for integrating digital technologies into professional activities. The theoretical framework of the practice-oriented approach is defined, comprising a set of fundamental pedagogical principles (systematicity and consistency, connection between theory and practice, individualization and differentiation, collaborative learning, reflexivity) and modern principles (digitalization, lifelong learning, modularity, professional mobility), as well as its methodological basis (a complex of teaching methods, forms, and tools). A model for implementing the practice-oriented approach to forming students' programming skills is proposed. To verify the effectiveness of this approach, a pedagogical experiment was conducted, demonstrating that its implementation in the educational process is effective for developing practical programming skills and ensures the quality of future specialists' training.

Conclusions. The practice-oriented approach is a crucial factor in the high-quality professional training of future computer science specialists, and its implementation in the educational process is an effective way to form students' practical programming skills. This involves the development and implementation of a professional training system by expanding the theoretical and methodological foundations and introducing relevant disciplines into the educational process for these specialists.
