This study investigates the management of the educational process in 17th-century Ukrainian brotherhood schools within the context of early modern European educational traditions. Brotherhood schools served not only as centers of learning but also as institutions of civic self-governance, integrating educational, cultural, and moral-ethical activities. The research examines the organizational structures, curriculum development, teacher recruitment, and quality control mechanisms employed in these schools, highlighting the influence of European pedagogical models on local educational practices. A central focus is placed on the governance mechanisms implemented in brotherhood schools, including regulatory frameworks, collegial decision-making, and active community participation in educational management. The study systematically analyzes organizational, financial, personnel, and supervisory mechanisms, presenting them as an integrated model of early modern educational management. The scientific novelty of this research lies in its comprehensive assessment of the managerial practices of brotherhood schools in Ukraine, considering both the internal administrative processes and the external influences from European educational systems. The findings reveal that these schools effectively combined European pedagogical principles with local cultural traditions, fostering educational quality and civic engagement. By examining the historical experience of brotherhood schools, the study offers valuable insights for contemporary educational management and policy, particularly in adapting historical lessons to modern governance, quality assurance, and institutional leadership in education. The results contribute to the understanding of the historical roots of educational management and provide guidance for developing effective management practices in today’s educational institutions.
