FACTORS OF SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT BY PROFESSION

The goal of the work. The purpose of the article is to theoretically substantiate the essence of the concept of “employment” and identify a set of external and internal factors that influence the successful employment of graduates in their specialty, as well as analyze the main job search strategies in the conditions of the modern labor market.
Methodology. The study is based on the principles of the competency approach and the theory of professional development of the individual. In the process of work, the analysis and generalization of scientific, pedagogical and scientific, and methodological sources on the problems of graduate employment were applied, as well as logical and structural analysis to systematize external and internal factors of successful employment and basic job search strategies.
Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the comprehensive approach to the analysis of successful employment in the specialty as a multi-component process that combines the influence of external socio-economic factors and internal personal and professional characteristics of graduates. The content of the concept of «employment» is clarified; the factors of successful employment of young specialists are systematized; the main job search strategies are identified and generalized depending on the individual characteristics of the candidate and the specifics of professional activity.
Conclusions. The article reveals the essence of the concept of employment and examines the external and internal factors of successful employment of graduates in their field of specialization, including the economic situation in the labor market, the level of demand for specific professions, state policy on employment support, organization of career guidance, the level of graduate training, professional skills of young specialists, adaptability, professional prestige, working conditions, and the level of personal motivation.
The algorithm and ways of finding a job were considered, depending on the candidate’s personal preferences, his experience and the specifics of the profession. The main strategies included finding a job through personal contacts, using job advertisements, through recruitment agencies or through direct appeals to employers.
It is noted that professional adaptation is an important component of the process of successful employment and involves the employee’s adaptation to the work environment, assimilation of its norms and values, and professional and social requirements.
Thus, successful employment in a specialty is the result of a complex interaction of a number of factors: state regulation of the labor market, professional training of young specialists, the socio-economic situation in the market, and individual characteristics of employees.
