Abstract

The article analyzes the main challenges of modernizing the technological educational field in the context of reforming profile secondary education and the corresponding current problems of professional-pedagogical training of future technology teachers for work in the senior school of the New Ukrainian School. It is determined what knowledge and skills a future teacher of profile school should possess. Based on the State Standard of Specialized Secondary Education, the main components of the content of professional and pedagogical training of future technology teachers are outlined. The results of the author’s experience in the methodological training of future master’s degree technology teachers for teaching activities in the New Upper Secondary School are provided.

The purpose of the article is to analyze current challenges of educational-professional training of future technology teachers for teaching in the New Profile School and to search for ways to solve them.

Research methods. During the research, such general scientific methods as analysis and systematization of regulatory documents, scientific publications and pedagogical experience on the research topic, interpretation and generalization of results were used.

The scientific novelty lies in determining the possibilities of improving the quality of professional-pedagogical training of future technology teachers for teaching subjects of the technological educational field, integrated courses and elective courses in the New Senior School.

Conclusions. The reform of profile secondary education and the rethinking and modernization of the technological educational field require a revision of the content and approaches to professional training of future technology teachers who will be able to fully implement the goal and objectives of technological education in the New Senior School. Teachers of the New Senior School must possess in-depth knowledge of the technological educational field, implement inter-subject and inter-sectoral integration, be able to develop author's curricula of subjects/courses, engage students in independent planning of their own educational trajectory, personal growth and professional orientation, master the latest educational technologies and modern technological equipment.

The content of educational-professional programs for training technology teachers must be coordinated with the content of the State Standard of Profile Secondary Education, and the methodological training of future teachers should focus on forming students' thorough professional knowledge and skills to independently construct the content and process of teaching students, taking into account current trends in the field development and applying the latest educational technologies.
