Abstract

The purpose of the article – highlighting issues of creative interaction between future music teachers and a children's choir in the context of the theory and methodology of music education.

Methodology. To achieve the goal, methods of scientific and theoretical analysis, synthesis and generalization were applied to understand the features of modern education, generalize practical experience in the professional training of future specialists in the music and pedagogical field.

Scientific novelty. The article presents the author's position, which emphasizes the importance of knowledge of the theory and methodology of music education for preparing future teachers of music for creative interaction with a children's choir.

Conclusions. In the process of mastering the theory and methodology of music education, future specialists enrich their knowledge with an understanding of the psychological and pedagogical characteristics of school-age children and the related specifics of pedagogical communication with students based on mutual understanding and respect. They acquire relevant methodological knowledge on how to work with the choir in class and in extracurricular activities, fulfilling the tasks of modern music education – the formation of musical culture and musical and aesthetic taste, the development of musical abilities, the emotional sphere, musical thinking of students, and the activation of their creative activity. Regarding the disciplines of professional training, the theory and methodology of music education performs an integral function, which adds completeness to the preparation of future teachers of music for creative interaction with a children's choir and contributes to successful implementation in their future profession.

The effectiveness of professional training, which is based on the application of the principles of integration and dialogical interaction, is ensured by a number of pedagogical conditions, among which we emphasize the implementation of interdisciplinary connections. At the same time, the issue of interaction is key in achieving the success of the musical educational process.
