Abstract

The article substantiates the relevance of the problem of forming self-management of heads of general secondary education institutions. It emphasizes that the increasing requirements for managerial activity, the dynamic nature of the educational environment, and the need for effective use of human capital actualize the necessity to develop leaders’ abilities for self-organization, conscious resource management, and continuous professional development.

The study substantiates the inclusion of the following organizational and pedagogical conditions in the formation of self-management of heads of general secondary education institutions in postgraduate education: predictability of the educational process based on a competence-based approach; professional development of the head through an individual educational trajectory using innovative technologies; resource support for self-management; and the formation of a healthy lifestyle of the head based on the principles of self-management.

The findings indicate that the holistic implementation of the identified conditions contributes to increasing the level of self-management of heads of general secondary education institutions, ensures their professional sustainability and managerial effectiveness, and enhances their readiness to implement educational changes within the system of general secondary education.

Purpose of the article is to substantiate the organizational and pedagogical conditions for the formation of self-management of heads of general secondary education institutions in the system of postgraduate education and to outline the ways of their implementation.

The methodological basis of the research includes systematization and analysis of scientific and educational literature, as well as the study of the experience of Ukrainian and international scholars related to the research problem.

The scientific novelty of the study lies in substantiating the organizational and pedagogical conditions for the formation of self-management of heads of general secondary education institutions in the system of postgraduate education.

Conclusions. The research substantiates a system of organizational and pedagogical conditions for the formation of self-management of heads of general secondary education institutions in postgraduate education. It is established that their integrated implementation ensures the effectiveness of managers’ professional development.
