FORMATION OF NATIONAL-PATRIOTIC VALUES OF STUDENTS THROUGH LYRICS IN THE PROCESS OF STUDYING UKRAINIAN AND FOREIGN LITERATURE

The article considers the problem of forming national-patriotic values of students in the process of studying ukrainian and foreign literature. The attention is focused on the potential of lyrics as an effective means of emotional and value influence on the personality of a schoolchild. The peculiarities of the perception of lyrical works are analyzed, the expediency of using poetic texts for the development of national consciousness, civic position and spiritual and moral orientations of students is substantiated. It is proved that the systematic involvement of lyrics of ukrainian and foreign authors in the educational process contributes to a deeper awareness of national identity and cultural values by students.
The purpose of the work is to theoretically substantiate methodological approaches to the formation of national-patriotic values of students by means of lyrics in the process of studying ukrainian and foreign literature. The relevance of the study is due to the need to strengthen the educational potential of literary education in the context of modern social challenges and transformations.
Research methodology is based on the provisions of the competency-based, axiological and personality-oriented approaches. The work uses theoretical methods (analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization of scientific sources), as well as a comparative-analytical method to identify the effectiveness of various methodological approaches to the study of lyrics in the school literature course.
Scientific novelty lies in substantiating the possibilities of the holistic use of ukrainian and foreign lyrics as an effective means of forming national-patriotic values of students, as well as in determining the methodological principles of integrating the educational component into the process of analyzing lyrical works. The role of the emotional and value perception of the poetic text in the formation of national self-identification of schoolchildren is clarified.
Conclusions. It is proven that lyrics have significant educational potential, as they contribute to a deep personal understanding of values related to national identity, civic responsibility and spiritual development. The combination of national and world poetic contexts ensures the formation of a holistic system of students’ value orientations. The feasibility of purposeful use of lyrics in the process of teaching literature as an effective means of national and patriotic education is substantiated.
