Abstract

The article explores the possibility of using traditional Japanese woodworking techniques in training specialists in working specialties of vocational education institutions and applicants for higher pedagogical education in professional and technological areas. The historical origins, trends and schools of woodworking technologies in Japan, the features of the techniques, their adaptation and preservation in the conditions of modern modernization are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the classification and main varieties of traditional Japanese woodworking techniques. The article also studies the experience of Japanese education in teaching traditional woodworking techniques, in particular the main trends and principles; the feasibility of their introduction into the educational process is proven. The mechanisms of such implementation are considered, namely the use of methodological and integrative approaches that involve the differentiation of techniques and their combination with modern digital tools and technologies.

Purpose of the work. Research into the possibility and feasibility of using traditional Japanese woodworking techniques in the training of specialists in working specialties of vocational education institutions and applicants for higher pedagogical education in the professional and technological direction.

Methodology. Systematization and study of scientific publications, analysis of scientific and educational literature, Internet sources, disclosure of the main definitions of the problem under study, generalization and conclusions.

Scientific novelty. It consists in studying the possibility of combining unique traditional Japanese woodworking technologies with modern educational paradigms, which involves a promising, innovative approach to increasing the level of formation of professional competencies.

Conclusions. The introduction of traditional Japanese woodworking technologies into the educational process for training specialists in the woodworking industry, future teachers of special disciplines and technologies is a promising direction that combines environmental approaches, high standards of labor culture, the philosophy of sustainable development, respect for traditional national crafts. They contribute to a deep understanding of the structure and properties of wood, the basic principles of woodworking, improve the possession of professional qualities in construction, design, contribute to the development of spatial and technical thinking, artistic taste. During their use, a complex of cognitive and psychological abilities is formed, such as patience, concentration, concentration of attention. The use of methodological and integrative approaches to the implementation of the above-mentioned traditional Japanese woodworking techniques in the educational process contributes to a high level of acquisition of professional competencies.
