Abstract

The article considers a modern approach to vocational training of students of medical schools through distance learning in a pandemic. The place of physical education in the system of higher professional education is determined. The significance and structure of professional and applied physical training of medical university students for successful study and work are revealed. Scientific sources are analyzed in order to determine the direction of professional and applied physical training of medical students. It is proved that an effective approach of medical students to physical culture and health activities is a necessary condition for the harmonious development of personality, which acquires the quality of purposeful influence on them in accordance with the needs of successful performance of their professional functions.

The purpose of this article is to clarify the features of vocational training of students of medical institutions in the context of today and to determine the main directions of its solution in terms of distance learning.

The methodology of humanistic, theoretical and system approaches is used.

Scientific novelty is in the introduction of online classes in physical culture and health, which contributed to the effectiveness of independent activities and positively affected the learning and physical development of full-time students who switched to distance education.

Conclusions. 1. Thus, the formation of a healthy lifestyle of medical students is based on the need for prevention and health programs, which gives grounds to argue about the positive changes in the indicators of motor activity of students in distance learning. 2. An effective approach of medical students to physical culture and health activities is a necessary condition for the harmonious development of personality, which acquires the quality of purposeful influence on
them in accordance with the needs of successful performance of their professional functions.
3. Important for the formation of a harmonious personality of the future specialist, his professional abilities is physical education, namely professional and applied physical training, which fully contributes to the creation of the required level of professionally important qualities, skills and abilities that encourage self-improvement.
