GAMIFICATION IN EDUCATION AS AN INNOVATIVE MEANS OF REALIZING THE COMPETENCY APPROACH AT HIGHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS

The article highlights the main directions of modernization and improvement of the educational process at higher educational establishment. The author analyzes the influence of gamification on the formation of the main «key» competencies of the students, increasing their internal and external motivation in gamified learning. The article describes the differences between gamification and game-based learning. Considered in the article is the issue of the positive and negative manifestations of the introduction of gamification in various gender groups. The feasibility of further research on the use of gamification tools justified by taking the correct ways to integrate them into various forms of learning.
Articles purpose. The article focused on the study of the basic possibilities of gamification at higher educational establishment.
Methodology of the research is the theory of knowledge; the theory of competency approach to learning outcomes; the theory of the activities and the theory of motivation activities.
Scientific novelty. The article proposes new innovative forms of training, explores the basic properties and possibilities of gamification as a means of forming the main «key» competencies of
applicants for higher education, analyzes the impact of gamification on various demographic groups.
Conclusions. Gamification as an innovative tool can increase the effectiveness of education through greater involvement and motivation of a higher education applicant. The phenomenon of
gamification makes it possible to apply information informally and can interest students in the learning disciplines. The study contributed to understanding the demographic differences in the
perception of gamification. The latest gamification of the educational process for Ukraine is a promising means of forming key competencies in a higher educational institution and helps to
improve the quality of the educational process.
