Abstract

It has been focused in the article the necessity of future primary school teachers’ motivation formation for artistic and pedagogical work. Scientific tendencies and contemporary requirements towards primary school have been analysed. They target at the culture and creative factors of personality development, the raise of art’s role in students’ awareness integration as one of the main principles of education reformation. Thus, the importance of higher education initiative in new teachers’ generation training has been proved. These teachers are to realize and grasp the peculiarities of art as the reflection of integrity of the ideas about the world, able to engage students to the sphere of the beautiful by means of art.

The results of the scientific research gave the opportunity to find out that teachers’ training can be of high quality on condition that it combines personal and social interests of an individual. That is why the development of internal, personal reserves of student preparation becomes especially relevant. Motivation is such an internal source of activity in artistic and pedagogical work.

Subjectivity is considered as personal quality, which characterizes the purposefulness of the person and determines the awareness of the motivation and the need of his own activity.

The aim of the article is to disclose motivational factors of educational and professional work of future primary school teachers, to determine the component structure of students’ motivation for artistic and pedagogical activity and prove the importance of subjectivity in the formation of motivation for artistic and pedagogical activity in future primary school teachers.

Methodology The basis of the study is humanitarian research on the development of personality in various spheres; philosophy of art education; conceptual ideas of professional pedagogical training; philosophical views on a personality as a creator, subject of culture and cultural and educational activity; philosophy of art education, epistemological foundations of scientific knowledge, in particular, the theory of the motivational sphere formation of personality; issues of psychology and pedagogy on humanistic education; contemporary concepts of aesthetic education; regulatory documents of higher education institutions.

Scientific novelty is that the essence of the concepts «artistic and pedagogical work», «motivation for artistic and pedagogical work» has been specified; the component structure of students’ motivation for art and pedagogical work has been determined; the importance of the subjectivity in the formation of motivation for artistic and pedagogical work in future primary school teachers has been proved.

Conclusions. The following conclusions can be made. The relevance of studying and solving the problem of future primary school teachers’ formation for artistic and pedagogical work is determined by its theoretical and practical significance for future primary school teachers’ training as well as by the need of educational institutions in highly skilled professionals. Subjectivity in the educational process is a determinant for the efficiency of personality changes, provides the formation of motivation for artistic and pedagogical work.

The following issues require further study: the definition and scientific criteria of diagnostics of students’ formation for artistic and pedagogical work; model development and approbation of motivation formation in future primary school teachers. The promising scientific area of the research is the following: to ensure the material integration of professionally oriented compulsory disciplines with the methods of teaching optional art subjects; to fill students’ professional training with creative elements; to supplement the methodology of teaching the art disciplines with modern ideas; to give the preference to practical issues of mastering art subjects basing on national traditions; to deepen the content of psychological and pedagogical disciplines and methods of teaching art disciplines by revealing the subject and personal meaning of future primary school teachers’ training as well as to deepen the content of psychological and pedagogical disciplines and methods of teaching the disciplines of the artistic cycle by revealing the subjective and personal meaning of future primary school teachers’ training.
