Abstract

The purpose of this work is to highlight the peculiarities of formation of health-saving competence of students of technical institutions of higher education during the educational process of physical education. Accelerating the development of science and technology in production area require considerable quantitative growth of highly qualified personnel. The importance of comprehensive training increases simultaneously, since its level has a significant effect on reducing the period of mastering the profession, as well as increase in labor productivity and the professional mobility too. The socioeconomic value of qualitative training of higher qualification specialists, whose work extremely important in modern science and technology environment, is rising respectively. Methodology. The insufficient efficiency of the physical education process in higher educational institutions of Ukraine has been discovered after analysis of scientific and methodological literature. However, during the years of Ukraine independence, physical education experts are making requests for researches and new ways of improving the educational process development of physical education of students in higher education institutions. The list of higher educational institutions tasks (both public and private), consists: solving the problem of supporting and the strengthening of youth student’s health, creating the health preservation atmosphere in the system of their education, providing socio-psychological fitness and health care support, means improving the system of implementation and provision of youth rights, which is clearly defined in The Constitution of Ukraine and the Law of Ukraine «On Higher Education». The scientific novelty of the work is to determine the main components of the students’ healthsaving competence formation and the peculiarities of each of them.

Conclusions. Based on the above, it should be noted that the formation of health-saving competence of students in modern Ukraine seems to be one of the key problems, which can be solved only through the understanding by all subjects of the educational process of the need to support compulsory physical education of students and, in particular, technical institutions of higher education of Ukraine.
