Abstract

An educational environment is considered by the author as a significant factor in the vocational training of future teachers. On the example of one of the Ukrainian universities – Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University – the optimal variant of creation of the educational environment for the training of future primary school teachers is presented. The paper aim is to justify the feasibility of the educational environment created in Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University as an important factor of qualitative professional training of future teachers for the New Ukrainian School. The methodology is based on the principle of the knowledge theory, general theoretical principle of the theory and practice unity, and principle of considering the environment as a determinant of personality development. The content of the concepts «educational environment», «educational environment of higher education institution», and «components and functions of the educational environment» is actualized in the article.

The scientific novelty of the research is that the author has substantiated the feasibility of creating the educational environment in Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University based on the convergence of formal and non-formal components of education of students of specialty «Primary education». The article describes in detail the spatial-object and social-subject components of the educational environment of the university. It is emphasized that the higher level of provision of formal vocational education to future primary school teachers is facilitated by the functioning of the primary school classroom in the university following the requirements of the New Ukrainian School. It is highlighted that it allows working efficiently on dynamic components of the educational environment: social and cultural, educational and upbringing, informational and communicative ones, and to provide educational and professional, educational and social, and educational and cultural functions of the educational environment. Conclusion. The educational environment is created in Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, and there are all the conditions for qualitative vocational training of future teachers for the New Ukrainian School.
