PEDAGOGICAL IDEAS S.KH. CHAVDAROV AND THE NEW UKRAINIAN SCHOOL

The article is devoted to the analysis of the scientific activity of the elder of Ukrainian teachers, doctors of pedagogical sciences, professor, corresponding member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the Russian Federation for Social Development, Savva Khristoforovich Chavdarov, who in the 20-50s. The twentieth century laid the foundation for the content of primary education in institutions of general secondary education. The purpose and objectives of the work is to characterize and educate S.Kh. Chavdarov on the development of elementary schools in Ukraine and their relevance to the New Ukrainian School. The methodological basis of the study is: laws and categories of scientific knowledge; an objective historical approach to the analysis of pedagogical processes of the development of education and pedagogical views of S.Kh. Chavdarov; the interdependence of socio-pedagogical phenomena, the need to study them in specific historical conditions; provisions of the regulatory framework of Ukraine; historical and pedagogical research of famous Ukrainian scientists, which analyze the theory and history of the development of domestic pedagogical thought; archival sources. The scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in certain pedagogical views of S.Kh. Chavdarov, which influenced the formation of the content of the Conceptual Foundations for the Development of Secondary Education «New Ukrainian School». It is emphasized that they determine modern approaches in the educational process to applicants for primary school education and were formulated taking into account the accumulated domestic and world pedagogical experience. The main goal of educational reform is to improve the quality of education. The most important officials who ensure the quality of the elementary level of general secondary education are: complete and timely enrollment in education of all children of primary school age; versatile use of the achievements of the preschool period; modernization and improvement of the educational environment; introduction of methods of personally and competently oriented training, education and development of primary schoolchildren; manufacturability of teaching methods; monitoring support of the educational process; adequate training of teaching staff.
Conclusions. The professional and pedagogical activity of S. Kh. Chavdarov is characterized by the fact that he always saw and noticed a new, progressive in pedagogy and pedagogical practice. He put forward and formulated a scientific problem, attracting colleagues, graduate students and students to its solution. He became an iconic figure in Russian pedagogical science. The pedagogical ideas of S.Kh. Chavdarov were embodied in the Conceptual Framework for the Development of Secondary Education «New Ukrainian School».
