Abstract

In the framework of our scientific article we have, on the one hand, identified and characterized the stages of formation of creative competence of the future specialist, and, on the other hand, we have represented the characteristic features of creativity of the future professionals of decorative and applied arts. Hence, we have identified the personal qualities of future professionals in decorative and applied arts in accordance with the stages of formation of creative competence in them. A number of contradictions in certain stages of formation of creative competence were revealed, therefore we offered the author’s variant of the decision of the specified problem.

The purpose of the work is to single out the stages of formation of creative competence of future specialists in decorative and applied arts.

The methodological basis of the study is the definition of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of research, includes substantiation of theoretical principles, analysis and systematization of existing experience, covers the analysis of publications on the issue under study in printed periodicals.

Scientific novelty of the work. Based on the research achievements of modern scientists, we have identified the stages of formation of creative competence of future specialists in decorative and applied arts.

Conclusions. We have singled out such stages as intuitive-initial stage, educational-search, creative-productive, individual-creative. The personal qualities of future specialists in decorative and applied arts were determined in accordance with the stages of formation of creative competence in them.

At the first stage, intuitively initial, future specialists in decorative and applied arts must demonstrate sincerity, courage in decisions, flexibility of thinking, the desire to learn new things, inventions, creative solutions.

At the educational and exploratory stage, they must show a desire to acquire new knowledge, the ability to generate ideas, unexpected decisions, to make independent decisions. At the creative and productive stage, specialists show professional competence, the desire to enrich their own decorative and applied experience. The individual-creative stage is characterized by the identification of independent formation of knowledge, independent solution of educational and professional problems; ability to develop and design their own activities.
