Abstract

The study is devoted to the current problem of finding effective ways to ensure the professional readiness of military men for operational and service activities. The results of research on the interconnection between physical fitness and the level of professional activity of servicemen have been supplemented and expanded, which makes it possible to state that the proper state of physical fitness of servicemen is the foundation for developing their special abilities, improving mental capacity and improving professional activity.

Аrticle’s purpose is to examine the readiness of servicemen for professional activities according to the state of their physical fitness.

Methodology. The theoretical and methodological studies are based on the theory of scientific knowledge, system-structural approach, which provides a systematic analysis of the process of physical training, principles of unity and activity, the interconnection of theory and practice of physical education, control of physical, psycho physiological and personal intellectual abilities.

Scientific novelty. The concept of «readiness for activity»; is specified, the factors of success of professional activity of servicemen of operational and service direction are defined, for the first time the interconnection between psycho physiological abilities, physical preparation and level of professional activity of servicemen is defined.

Conclusions. The study indicates the need to improve the professional and applied physical training of servicemen. We see some physical exercises to be involved into the content of professional and applied physical training that will improve the professional readiness of servicemen for operational and service activities.
