The basic factors of continuous professional growth of future physical education teachers in a process of training in an institution of higher education are defined and discussed in the research.
The purpose of the article is to study the theoretical foundations of the continuous professional growth of future physical education teachers.
The objectives are a review of the concepts of continuing education, development, motivation, as well as clarifying the role of motivation in the process of professional development.
The methodological bases of the article are philosophical, psychological, pedagogical theories and propositions that reveal the conceptual approaches to the researched problems.
The scientific novelty lies in the study about the importance of the success in the professional realization of the future teachers during their continuous professional growth, besides, the importance of motivation for the transformation of the student's personality, taking into account the needs of pedagogical activities and focusing on improvement and professional development.
Continuing education plays a fundamental role in the formation of a highly qualified specialist. Its main point is to need constant updates, improvement, and development of personality. Continuity of professional training, as one of the principles of pedagogical education, is combined with the principle of continuity and becomes a necessary condition for the effective professional activity of a modern teacher.
Conclusions. The success of the professional realization of future physical education teachers depends on the confidence that the development of their professional skills in a process of professional growth. During the mastering of the profession, a stable desire arises for training which related to the interest in the future career, because the motivation is a prerequisite for the development of professionalism at this stage. Moreover, it influences the direction of future changes in the student's personality, taking into account the needs of pedagogical activities and focusing on improvement and professional development.
