SUBJECTIVE REPRESENTATION OF HEALTH PRESERVING BY STUDENT YOUTH

Abstract

The article substantiates that human health depends not only on physiological factors, social and environmental, infrastructure, theoretical knowledge, effective teaching, but also on the value of human’s attitude to health components and on the personal representation of health saving.

The special attention is given to motor activity of future teachers in the educational process of high school and to the formation of their internal positive motivation to the health-saving competencies development. The structure of the higher school educational environment and the model of human behaviour have been considered in the article.

Article’s purpose was to research students’ subjective representation of health preserving.

Methdology. To solve the tasks of the study we used the following research methods: analysis and generalization of data of scientific and methodological literature, psychological and pedagogical observation, questionnaire, methods of mathematical statistics for processing research results. The study involved 63 students of different specialties of T. H. Shevchenko National University «Chernihiv Colehium».

The scientific novelty of the research is that 1) for the first time psychological and social determinants in the formation of attitude toward a health and to the health-saving behaviour of future teachers of different specialties were tested; 2) specified the meaning and constituents of the notion «health saving».

Conclusions. The results indicate that students’ subjective representation about health preserving differs in internality level attitude to health, value orientations, self-appraisal of health.

Further researches of the problem are connected with working out of the scientifically proved teaching methodology for future teachers’ health-saving competence formation.
