Abstract

The aim of the study is the analysis of technical and tactical training of semi-finalists and finalists of world and Ukrainian championships in freestyle wrestling.

Methodology. The methodology of the research issue bases on the following theoretical and practical research methods: analysis and generalization of theoretical sources, pedagogical observations, analysis of video materials of competitive fights, methods of mathematical statistics.

The scientific novelty of the research. The latest changes in the competition’s rules stipulate the following: the comparative analysis of the world and Ukrainian elite wrestlers' performance done for the first time; the rating values of the most effective technical actions of the world and Ukrainian elite wrestlers in standing wrestling and on the ground wrestling.

Conclusions. The analysis of the technical and tactical skills of the semi-finalists and finalists of the world and Ukrainian championships in the standing wrestling demonstrated that the winners in most fights are more active than opponents, imposing their fighting manner. The winners are more active in the actions in the first period, as well as the losers in the second. World Cup fights are more intense, have higher competition among rivals. The implementation efficiency of the technical and tactical actions of the World Cup participants is higher. The rating of performance actions in the standing wrestling is following: 1) passages in one leg; 2) pushing the rival outside the carpet; 3) puts into the ground without grabbing the rival’s legs; 4) passages in two legs; 5) throws, estimated at 4 points. The Ukrainian championship participants were more active and productive (p <0,05) according to the indicators. The world elite wrestlers were better in efficiency realization (p <0,05). The world rating of technical actions efficiency on the ground wrestling is following: 1) fall over by rolling; 2) fall over with crossed legs; 3) other fall overs; 4) up from the lower position. At the championship of Ukraine: 3) other fall overs; 4) other fall overs. The wrestlers at the World Championship have a more diverse technique of wrestling on the ground
