ORGANIZATION OF WORK IN INVASPORT SYSTEMS OF SUMY REGION

Abstract

The article analyses the sports of the disabled, which are cultivated in the institutions of the system «Invasport» of the city of Sumy and Sumy region. The characteristic of the number of enrolled children with disabilities, persons with disabilities by separate nosological groups to the groups of sports departments of the disabled of the Sports Center «Ivansport» and Sumy Regional Children’s and Youth Sports School for the Disabled «Invasport» is presented. The analysis of normative documents and current provisions on the organization of sports activities of persons with disabilities in the system of institutions «Invasport» and identified the most popular sports in the Sumy region among the categories of persons with disabilities.

The aim is to study the conditions of organization of sports activities of persons with disabilities in the system of institutions «Invasport» of Sumy region and to determine their quantitative composition by a separate nosological groups and kinds of sport.

The research methodology included theoretical analysis and generalization of data from literature sources, normative documents and experience of best practice in Paralympic sports; pedagogical and sociological methods (observations, conversations).

The scientific novelty lies in the study of the number of people with disabilities in groups of sports for the disabled of Sumy region and substantiation of the conditions of their enrolment into the institutions of the system «Invasport».

Conclusions. The analysis of the literature confirms that it is the involvement of people with disabilities (including children with disabilities), children with special educational needs helps them to perceive themselves as a person who can achieve success despite their physical disabilities. It is determined that significant assistance in supporting this category of the population of our country is provided by the institutions of the «Invasport» system. They provide an opportunity for people with special needs to develop both physically and psychologically in the process of doing sports. These results allow us to form a general conclusion that the favourite sport among children with special educational needs in the Sumy region – athletics, and among people with disabilities – table tennis.
