FORMATION OF NATIONAL AND PATRIOTIC VALUES ON TECHNOLOGY LESSONS IN HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract

The article is devoted to the formation of national and patriotic values of children. The main tasks of education on the way to the development of a national school are to create conditions for fostering in young people a value-based attitude to the surrounding reality and themselves, and to form an active life position. A balanced combination of education and
upbringing at school makes it possible to form a student's personality that is endowed with deep civic responsibility, high spiritual qualities, patriotic feelings, and is a carrier of the best achievements of national culture, capable of self-development and self-improvement.

The purpose of the article is to study, on the basis of theoretical and methodological principles, the peculiarities of the formation of national and patriotic values of students in the process of studying the subject «Technology» by high school students in the module «Design of Modern Clothing» in the process of making the project «Dress in Ethnic Style».
The methodological basis is bas stands on classical research methods, namely: analysis of literary sources, explanation, generalization, systematization, and classification method, which made it possible to scientifically and theoretically substantiate the material.

The scientific novelty of the article lies in a deep research of the peculiarities of forming a sense of patriotism, national-patriotic values and active citizenship of students during the production of the project «Dress in Ethnic Style» in the lessons of the subject «Technology» by high school students.

Conclusions. Patriotic education is a social activity that shapes a person’s attitude towards themselves, their nation, and their homeland. This attitude is manifested in the corresponding feelings, beliefs, views and ideas. Patriotic education should be the core of all educational work, because first and foremost, we must raise a person who has a sense of pride in his or her country, fulfills public duties in good faith, is aware of the social needs of the Motherland and the Ukrainian people, loves his or her family and friends, values and protects Ukrainian traditions, customs, and history. Without this, a person has no face, he or she loses himself or herself, because patriotism is not just a concept, patriotism is a lifestyle.
