Abstract

The article deals with the process of computerization of vocational education as a basic, mandatory component of the process of informatization of education and society as a whole. The importance of training future vocational teachers in the effective implementation and use of information technologies in the educational process of vocational education institutions is revealed. It is noted that the rapid development of new information systems in recent years and the introduction of computer technologies into the system of vocational education is a logical and necessary step in the development of the current information society, but it should be qualitatively justified, not always a substitute, but a complementary factor in the system of modern education.

The purpose of the article is to provide a theoretical and methodological substantiation of the importance of informatization and computerization of the educational process in vocational education institutions, and at the same time, the quality of professional training of vocational teachers for the further use of information technology in future pedagogical activities.
The research methodology is based on the use of general scientific methods, namely: analytical, inductive, deductive and comparative, in order to determine the development of the chosen problem and the prospects for its research.

The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the authors have identified the main directions of informatization of vocational education, the means of informatization of the educational process in vocational education institutions and have shown their educational capabilities.

Conclusions. It has been determined that one of the leading directions of development of the modern education system in Ukraine is the gradual computerization of all its links (in particular vocational education) with the aim of training a computer-literate generation of specialists in all sectors of the national economy. Therefore, an important task in the context of
informatization and computerization of vocational education today is to teach students to use information technology. The successful solution of this task will determine the development of our country and its place in the global community.
