Abstract

The purpose of the work is to conduct a systematic analysis of the use of the Moodle educational platform in distance learning, which allows the comprehensive use of modern innovative forms of knowledge acquisition in the educational process.

The research methodology is based on the general scientific principles of historicism, systematicity, complexity, comprehensiveness, multifactoriality, objectivity, scientificity, dialectical analysis and the principles of a critical and structural-systemic approach to the source base. Research methods were primarily selected in accordance with the set goal. The use of the historical-systemic method made it possible to investigate the main and generalize the obtained analytical results. The interdisciplinary nature of the research helped to comprehensively apply various methodological approaches that systematically operate in the humanities and social sciences: historical, complex, civilizational, regional, integral, modernization, value, biographical.

The scientific novelty of the research lies primarily in the development of an actual problem directly related to the possibility of using distance learning forms by citizens of the Ukrainian state to obtain quality education during the Russian-Ukrainian war, as well as in the fact that despite a certain number of works by researchers, this important issue remains understudied and therefore requires further professional studies.

Conclusions. The historiography of the study of the problem and the source base are characterized. The ontological essence of the main research terms is highlighted. The history of the establishment and the main stages of the formation and development of this innovative online platform are analyzed. It was found that the online educational platform Moodle, thanks to its innovativeness, openness and free of charge, enables higher education institutions of the Ukrainian state to use modern technologies in the educational process in the distance form of education. It has been proven that the Russian-Ukrainian war made significant adjustments to the higher education of Ukraine, so it, in turn, had to adapt to the brutal realities of wartime and, if possible, use the advantages of distance learning to provide educational services to the citizens of Ukraine, including involving for these needs, the Moodle online educational platform.
