Abstract

The article examines the problems of technological and design activities of future design professionals in the process of developing projects during the study of specialized disciplines. It emphasizes the importance of technological and design competence, characterizes the process of its formation, identifies components and properties, and demonstrates its significance in the professional-practical training of future design specialists.

The aim of the study is to justify project activities of future design professionals in the study of specialized disciplines, analyzing technological and design activities in the production of products.

Methodology involves theoretical analysis of scientific literature to select and comprehend factual material, analyzing concepts, theories, and methodologies to identify ways of solving the researched problem, and comparing and systematizing materials closely related to the future professional activities of specialists.

The scientific novelty lies in the theoretical justification of the problems of technological and design activities of future design professionals in the process of designing and manufacturing products during classes in specialized disciplines. The study establishes the place of project activities in the system of professional-practical training of future design professionals when studying specialized disciplines.

Conclusions are drawn, affirming that design is an activity related to the design of the material world; it involves artistic construction to shape the aesthetic and functional qualities of a product. The professional training of future design professionals, in the study of specialized disciplines, focuses not only on the theoretical basis of specific knowledge, skills, and abilities but also on the formation of a certain volume of integral, general, and professional competencies. These competencies reveal the personality of the designer as ready for self-discovery, selfdevelopment, self-regulation, and reflection, with a maximum focus on individuality. The fundamentals of the competency-based approach align with the modern requirements of domestic education, aiming to shape a professional of a new level capable of competing with graduates of European higher education and fully meeting the demands of society.
