Abstract

The goal is to characterize the functions, types and tools of monitoring the educational achievements of future teachers in the process of professional training.

Methodology. In the process of scientific research, a complex of various methods was used, which ensured the reliability and objectivity of the research, in particular: analysis of the legal framework and scientific literature – in order to determine the state of development of the problem and the prospects for its research; comparison – to compare the views of different scientists on the problem of organizing and monitoring the educational achievements of students of higher education in the process of professional training; induction and deduction, systematization and generalization – for formulating conclusions.

The research was carried out on the basis of a combination of the provisions of a number of methodological approaches, in particular: competence-based (to determine the specifics of control over the formation of general and professional competences of students of higher education in the process of professional training), activity-based (involvement of students in active educational activities in the process of their control), personal oriented (to take into account the individual characteristics of higher education students during the organization and implementation of control measures) – which are applied on the basis of complementarity and compliance with the purpose of the study.

Scientific novelty. The functions, types and effective means of monitoring the educational achievements of future teachers in the process of their professional training are characterized.

Conclusions. In the research process, it is substantiated that control is one of the aspects of diagnosing the educational achievements of higher education seekers, a means of analyzing the qualitative and quantitative parameters of the educational process in an educational institution. the functions of checking and evaluating educational achievements of education seekers are defined and characterized, such as: diagnostic, corrective, prognostic, educational, develop­mental, educational, stimulating and motivational. It was found that various types of control of educational achievements are implemented within the professional training of future teachers – preliminary, current, and final. The procedures for organizing and conducting control events are defined in the university regulations, and at the same time, they are determined by the provisions of the educational and professional training programs for future teachers. It has been proven that online applications and applications today play an important role in monitoring the educational achievements of future teachers in the process of professional training, as they make it possible to quickly, effectively and objectively check the level of developed competencies.
