Abstract

The purpose of the article is to outline the potential of museum pedagogy tools (thematic tours to the museum) to improve the quality of professional training of future teachers.

Methodology. The following approaches were used to implement the research objective: acmeological, activity, cultural; theoretical methods (general scientific – analysis, synthesis, generalization of pedagogical, museology and teaching-methodical literature) and empirical (observation, conversation), which helped establish the effectiveness of using museum potential in the professional training of future teachers.

The scientific novelty consists in outlining the potential of museum pedagogy tools (thematic excursions to the museum) to improve the quality of professional training of future teachers.

Conclusions. The use of elements of museum pedagogy in the educational process of higher education institutions, namely thematic excursions to museums, is an indispensable form of education and significantly improves the quality of professional training of future teachers. Today, museums have become one of the effective means of both learning and educating young people, which use innovative forms and leading pedagogical methods, new approaches in the implementation of education, which turns museums into a powerful educational environment. At the current stage, museums use the theoretical and methodological developments of museum pedagogy, namely active learning methods, creation of a museum environment, figurative language of exposition. Thematic excursions to the museum provide an opportunity for applicants to study and discuss issues related to the topic in depth; interactive technologies stimulate their independent activity, and assimilation of information in an informal environment in a relaxed manner increases motivation to study and contributes to the formation of self-development and self-education competence in future teachers for their own professional development. With the help of the museum, an important task of today is solved – the formation of a creative personality, its inclusion in universal human values, cultural heritage. Research, search activity in museums, familiarization of students of higher education with museum exhibitions and collections, promotes the ability to realize their creative potential through perception, empathy, understanding of spiritual heritage and values of national culture, inculcates in young people respect for the spiritual treasures of the Ukrainian people, the desire to preserve national traditions.
