Abstract

The article discloses and substantiates modern scientific approaches to the problem of the formation of artistic thinking of students in the process of artistic activity, the ways and prospects of solving the specified problem are determined.

The peculiarities of the development of artistic and creative thinking, creative abilities of students through the means of art in the process of their educational activities have been analyzed. Artistic and creative thinking is characterized by emotional and sensory design, figurative clarity and provides understanding or creation of an artistic image. Creative abilities are considered as individual psychological abilities of a person that meet the requirements of creative activity and are a condition for its successful performance, are associated with the creation of a new, original product, with the search for new means of activity, etc. Art as a part of the spiritual life, both of a person and of society, and as a whole is a universal product of the creative activity of all generations, which determines its universal character in the formation of all sides of the personality and has a decisive influence on the development of artistic and creative thinking.

The purpose of the work is to reveal and determine the psychological and pedagogical features of the development of artistic and creative thinking of students in the process of artistic activity.

The methodological basis is the competency-based, orientational, operational and evaluative approaches to revealing the creative potential of the individual and forming the artistic thinking of students in the process of artistic activity. Analysis of methodological sources and scientific publications.

Scientific novelty. The psychological and pedagogical foundations of the development of students' artistic thinking in the process of artistic activity are analyzed. The main tasks of teaching art disciplines in a general secondary education institution have been defined and substantiated with regard to the specifics of revealing the creative potential of an individual, stimulating artistic thinking, artistic interests, promoting the development of imagination, etc.
