COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF DISSERTATIONS’ SUBJECTS ON THE ISSUES OF THE TEACHER’S PERSONALITY COMPREHENSION (1985-2015)

Abstract

The article highlights the comparative analysis of dissertations’ subjects (years of defense: from 1985 to 2015) on the issues of teacher’s personality comprehension. The analysis was conducted by identifying dissertations in the specialty 13.00.01 – General Pedagogy and History of Pedagogy, which are devoted to the study of the teacher’s personality. For the purpose of comparative analysis, the dissertations were divided by periods, according to educational and social changes in Ukraine. As a result, further research directions were suggested. The purpose of the article: organize the research defended from 1985 to 2015 in the specialty 13.00.01 – General Pedagogy and History of Pedagogy, devoted to the study of teacher’s personality by periods; compare them; outline areas for further exploration.
Methodology: analysis and comparison of research objects.
Scientific novelty: the comparative analysis of dissertations’ subjects (years of defense: from 1985 to 2015) on the issues of teacher’s personality comprehension in pedagogy is completed for the first time; the dissertations with the subject of different teacher's personality aspects were identified; the dissertations were divided according to suggested periods; the research areas, characteristic for each period in time limits from 1985 to 2015, are defined; aspects of the teacher's personality that are promising for further research have been proposed.
Conclusions:there is a decrease in attention to the study of teacher’s personality in dissertations’ subjects (years of defense: from 1985 to 2015) on the issues of teacher’s personality comprehension in pedagogy. Accordingly, the problems that need further study are the teacher’s personality in regional dimension; the teacher’s personality as a value of modern education; the teacher’s personality and civil society; the formation of worldview orientations of modern youth; the development of the teacher's personality; the teacher’s personality in historical and pedagogical discourse.
