TECHNOLOGY «CHARACTER POSTER» IN TEACHING FUTURE TEACHERS OF GERMAN-LANGUAGE READING TEXTS OF LITERATURE

Abstract

Purpose of this study is to study the methodical potential of the activity- and productivityoriented technology «Character poster» in teaching future teachers of German-language reading texts of literature.


Methodology is based on the study and critical analysis of scientific publications and methodical literature on the problem of using activity- and productivity-oriented technologies of teaching reading texts of literature; study and generalization of the positive experience of using the technology «Character poster» in teaching reading foreign language texts of literature. 

Scientific novelty of the research is based on: 1) generalization and further development of approaches to the use of activity- and productivity-oriented technologies of teaching reading texts of literature; 2) clarifying the goals and expected results of the «Character poster» technology in teaching future teachers to read German-language texts of literature; 3) revealing the essence of the «Character poster» technology. 

Conclusions. The «Character Poster» technology is understood as a form of visualization of a literary character with the help of a visual organizer in activity- and productivity-oriented teaching reading texts of literature and related activities. The purpose of use of the «Character poster» technology in teaching future teachers of German-language reading texts of literature is to develop the ability to communicate essential information about a literary character using a picture or a graphic organizer; present simple information about a literary character, including the attitude towards him, by using a visual organizer in form of diagrams, outlines, schemes, drawings contrasting «inner world» – «outer world» / «actual information» – «attitude»; create drawings and diagrams to illustrate the character of a simple text of literature, and develop the ability to highlight, visually represent and explain the relationship between ideas and facts about characters, making relations between information explicit, clear and more accessible. The technology has a significant potential in teaching text mediation in terms of teaching expressing a personal response to creative texts (including literature), as well as in teaching the analysis and criticism of creative texts (including literature). The «Character poster» technology is based on visualization of a character with the help of a visual organizer.
