Abstract

The physical training of officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service, the State Emergency Service, paramilitary formations of law enforcement agencies needs to be improved and brought in line with NATO standards according to domestic training programs. This is especially related to the need for officers to have a high level of physical training at the current stage of the struggle for the people lives and the victory of Ukraine in the war with the russian invaders.

The purpose of the article is to conduct a comparative analysis of the physical training of officers in the leading countries of the world and to determine directions for improvement of domestic training programs for the physical training of officers in higher education institutions with specific training conditions.

The research methodology is based on the analysis, generalization and systematization of information sources, normative documents on the issues of training military personnel, law enforcement officers, officers of other formations whose professional activities are related to defense, protection, rescue operations, etc.

Conclusions. The authors of the article conducted a comparative analysis of officer training in the USA, Great Britain, France and Germany. Based on the results of the analysis, the main areas of improvement of domestic training programs for physical training of officers were determined, namely: filling with practice-oriented cases and revision of standards of physical training, psychological stability.
