Problem. The article explores the process of developing the personality of junior school students through the formation of soft skills in physical education. It is identified that one of the main challenges lies in the fact that the traditional approach to teaching physical education often emphasizes the development of physical skills and health, neglecting aspects of personal growth. Insufficient attention to the development of soft skills, such as communication, collaboration, leadership, self-regulation, and others, may lead to students not acquiring the necessary competencies for effective socialization and future success in life. It is argued that the formation of the personality of junior school students in the educational process is a complex and multifaceted process that requires careful consideration of psychological, social, cultural, and pedagogical aspects. Understanding this process allows educators and parents to create conducive conditions for the harmonious development of children and prepare them for the challenges of the modern world.
The aim of the article is to justify the importance of integrating the development of soft skills in junior school students during physical education lessons to ensure comprehensive personal growth.
The methodology of the article is based on a comprehensive analysis of scientific sources, theoretical concepts, and pedagogical approaches aimed at the development of the personality of junior school students through the formation of soft skills in physical education lessons.
Scientific novelty: it has been proven that the integration of soft skills formation in physical education lessons, as defined by the methodology, not only contributes to enriching the social and emotional aspects of the personality of junior school students but also activates their cognitive functions and develops critical thinking, setting a new standard in terms of a comprehensive educational process. Such an approach is a significant step towards promoting the harmonious development of students' personalities.
Conclusions: 1. The formation of soft skills in physical education lessons for junior school students is crucial for their comprehensive personal development. 2. The article revealed that the traditional approach to teaching physical education is insufficiently oriented towards the social and emotional development of students, necessitating the introduction of new methods and strategies. 3. The research methodology allowed for the systematization of information and the identification of key aspects of soft skills development, taking into account modern requirements for education and upbringing. 4. The application of the integration of pedagogical and psychological approaches has underscored the necessity of harmoniously combining physical activity and the development of key competencies, which is important for the formation of a well-rounded personality.
