PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AS A COMPONENT OF A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE OF HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS

Problem. One of the important tasks set before the system of physical education in higher education institutions of Ukraine is to strengthen the health and increase the level of general and special professional-applied physical fitness of students of higher education, to promote the acquisition of skills and abilities to independently use the means of physical culture and sports. It has been proven that motor activity is necessary to maintain high work capacity and restore the body of higher education students.
The purpose of the proposed survey is to substantiate the need for physical activity as a component of a healthy lifestyle of higher education students.
Research methodology: it is based on general principles of philosophy, basic modern provisions of pedagogical science, psychology and reflects the essence and content of physical activity as a component of a healthy lifestyle for students of bachelor’s and master’s degrees in various specialties.
Object of research: educational process in higher education institutions of Ukraine.
Scientific novelty. It has been proven that physical activity is a component of a healthy lifestyle for students of higher education in various specialties.
Conclusions. 1. At the current stage in the theory and teaching methodology, there is a need for a clearer definition of the terms «motor activity» and «physical activity». 2. Actual problems in the process of studying motor activity: realization of the necessary level of motor activity is the key to normal development of the body; analysis of various aspects of motor activity; integral evaluation method; correlations between life activities and motor activity of students of higher education of various specialties; basic approaches to normalization of various types of physical exertion; motivation affecting motor activity and motivation to perform physical exercises. 3. Human motor activity should be understood as any body movement made by skeletal muscles, as a result of which there is a significant increase in energy consumption. 4. The basis of motor activity is physical exercises, and it is realized in the process of physical education. 5. Physical activity is a component of a healthy lifestyle for students of higher education in various specialties.
