The purpose of the article is to analyze the topic of teaching various aspects of EU humanitarian policy in Ukrainian universities.
Research methodology. The main source of the research was the analysis of the catalog of projects of the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Program in Ukraine for 2001-2020, as well as a review of the educational and professional programs of some Ukrainian universities. The work is written using basic scientific methods.
Scientific novelty. The article analyzes for the first time the issue of teaching EU humanitarian policy in Ukrainian universities as an important component of European studies.
Conclusions: In the universities of Ukraine, educational courses related to the teaching of EU humanitarian policy were mainly introduced through the implementation of the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Program. Training courses, modules, workshops, as various types of teaching activities are widely represented in the grant applications of Jean Monnet projects. After the implementation of the projects, a significant part of the training courses remains in the educational process of the higher education institution, as a main or optional component. Issues of humanitarian and social policy of the EU are most often taught in the specialties of public management and administration, sociology, international relations, etc. We predict that the teaching and research of topics related to humanitarian and social policy of the EU will only increase due to the tasks of Ukraine's movement towards the EU, as well as due to the growth of social cohesion and social responsibility of Ukrainian society.
