Digital technology is constantly evolving, with new tools and platforms emerging. Equipping teachers with the skills to learn and adapt to these changes ensures that they can continuously improve their teaching methods. Digital literacy allows teachers to keep up to date with the latest educational practices and resources, leading to a more dynamic and effective learning environment.
The aim of the study is to determine the directions and their content for improving the process of training future technology teachers to use digital technologies in the educational process.
Methodology: analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature on the problems of training teachers to use digital technologies in teaching; study of the domestic and foreign experience of scientists on this issue; systematisation and generalisation of theoretical knowledge on the research problem; expert evaluation to determine effective measures to train future technology teachers to use digital technologies in teaching.
The scientific novelty is to substantiate the directions and appropriate measures to improve the training of future technology teachers in the use of digital technologies.
Conclusions. Areas for improving the training of future technology teachers to use digital technologies: methodological support; material and technical support; pedagogical staff; scientific and methodological work; international cooperation. Priority measures have been identified, the key of which is the development and implementation of methodological recommendations for the use of digital technologies in the training of future technology teachers; equipping pedagogical institutions with modern computer hardware and software; training and retraining of teachers of pedagogical institutions on the use of digital technologies in education.
