Distance learning has become an essential aspect of the education system due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the war. The transition to this form of learning has introduced new demands for both students and parents, whose role in the learning process has significantly increased. This article presents the results of a study on tools for enhancing the effectiveness of students' learning. It examines how distance learning affects students' sensory perception, awareness, and memory retention of educational material, as well as the roles of attention, memory, self-regulation, and self-control and how to activate these. Special attention is given to the role of parents in distance learning, the challenges they face, and ways to enhance the effectiveness of their influence on learning outcomes.
The purpose of this article is to explore ways to increase the effectiveness of students' distance learning and methods to implement them.
Research methodology. The study is based on the concept of distance learning as outlined in the decrees of the Ministry of Education and Science and government education regulations.
To achieve the main research objectives, a set of theoretical and empirical methods were used at various stages: theoretical methods included analysis, synthesis, generalization, and systematization; empirical methods included observation, interviews, and analysis of students' work results.
Scientific novelty lies in identifying the reasons for the generally recognized decline in students' academic performance during distance learning and determining.
Conclusions. This article presents the results of a study on tools for enhancing the effectiveness of distance learning for school students. It examines how distance learning affects students' sensory perception, awareness, and memory retention of educational material, as well as the roles of attention, memory, self-regulation, self-control, and assessment of academic achievements, and how to activate these. Special attention is given to the role of parents in distance learning and ways to increase the effectiveness of their involvement in its organization and control.
