JUSTIFICATION OF THE CONTENT OF THE DISCIPLINE «MODERN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH» FOR THE PREPARATION OF DOCTORS OF PHILOSOPHY

The purpose of the article is to justify the content of the discipline «Modern Information Technologies in Scientific Research» for the preparation of PhD candidates, focusing on the development of essential skills in working with contemporary information technologies in conducting scientific research, data analysis, and effective presentation of results.
Methodology. The research applied methods of analysis and systematization of scientific publications, pedagogical experience, and observation of the educational process. This approach made it possible to define the structure and thematic content of the discipline in accordance with the needs of PhD candidates.
Scientific novelty. The proposed discipline structure consists of seven main topics, each aimed at developing critical competencies for a modern researcher. The topics cover aspects such as software for text processing, data analysis and visualization, multimedia technologies for results presentation, fundamentals of artificial intelligence, cloud services, and working with Internet-based information resources. Special emphasis is placed on ethical considerations in the application of artificial intelligence and the use of innovative tools in scientific activity.
Conclusions. The discipline «Modern Information Technologies in Scientific Research» is an important component in the preparation of PhD candidates, addressing current trends in scientific activity and rapid changes in the information environment. The course program promotes the development of skills that enhance competitiveness and improve the quality of scientific research. Integration of knowledge of modern information technologies enables doctoral students to master tools that increase efficiency in processing large volumes of data and support their integration into the global scientific community. The proposed structure of the discipline can serve as a foundation for preparing researchers who are able to adapt to technological challenges and innovations in their professional activities, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Ukrainian science.
