Article's purpose: to identify and theoretically substantiate a model for developing a teacher's readiness to work with smart technologies.
Methodology: the role and place of smart technologies in the system of teaching aids are determined; the content of the concept of ‘teachers’ readiness to use smart technologies‘ is revealed; the content of course training focused on the development of teachers’ readiness to use smart technologies is developed and substantiated; the implementation of the training content is carried out in the form of concentrated training in combination with pedagogical support of students' extracurricular independent work.
Scientific novelty: a didactic model for the development of teachers' readiness to use smart technologies in the educational process in the system of advanced training has been developed and substantiated, characterised by a focus on the formation of skills to create digital educational content (target component), flexible educational and methodological content of electronic educational resources, the structured element of which is the algorithm for creating e-learning content, active and interactive forms and methods of teaching that ensure the integration of theory and practice, and a rich.
Conclusions: Implementation of the didactic model of developing teachers' readiness to work with smart technologies makes it possible to increase the level of their readiness for relevant activities, which is manifested in the development of motivation, knowledge and skills to apply smart technologies in the educational process. The organisational and pedagogical conditions for the implementation of the didactic model (concentrated form of classroom organisation, pedagogical support for independent work) are equally effective in developing teachers' motivation to use smart technologies.
