ORGANIZATION OF SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES OF FUTURE TEACHERS OF PHILOLOGISTS IN THE CONTEXT OF IMPLEMENTING THE GOALS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The purpose of the article is to characterize the peculiarities of the organization of the scientific activity of future philology teachers in the context of achieving global goals of sustainable development (using the example of the Philological Faculty, T. H. Shevchenko National University «Chernihiv Colehium»).
Methodology. Several methods were used for the objective and systematic coverage of the researched problem: analysis of the legislative framework and scientific literature on the problems of implementing the goals of sustainable development and organizing scientific activities of students; comparative – to outline the scientific positions of various scientists regarding the problem raised; synthesis, systematization and generalization for the formulation of conclusions and recommendations regarding the effective organization of the scientific activity of future philology teachers in the context of the implementation of the goals of sustainable development; observation of the educational process in institutions of higher education to find out the specifics of the organization of the scientific activity of philology students.
The conducted scientific research is based on the provisions of the following methodological approaches: axiological for the effective achievement of global goals of sustainable development and formation of the value-worldview sphere of future philology teachers in the process of scientific activity; personally oriented, which involved taking into account the characteristics of each student of higher education in the process of scientific activity; competence to take into account the competences recorded in the educational and professional training program for future philology teachers at the corresponding educational level.
Scientific novelty. The article outlines the peculiarities of the organization of the scientific activity of future philology teachers in the process of their professional training in a higher education institution in the context of the implementation of the goals of sustainable development.
Conclusions. It is substantiated that the organization of scientific activities of future philology teachers in the context of their professional training should be aimed at ensuring the achievement of global goals of sustainable development. It acquires special importance for the implementation of the fourth goal «Quality education», which involves the development of partnership relations between schools, universities and other educational institutions of different regions of the world; planning and carrying out an information campaign to support quality education; a case study of the education system and problems of access to it in individual communities or countries; planning and implementation of education projects for the benefit of sustainable development at the faculty, university or locality level; conducting events dedicated to the popularization of scientific research activities of students – future philology teachers.
