Abstract

The article examines the topical issue of forming ICT competencies among future teachers as a necessary component of their professional training in the conditions of digitalization of education. Considering the importance of ICT competencies for the integration of modern technologies in the educational process, the study focuses on the main challenges and opportunities associated with the implementation of information and communication technologies (ICT) in teacher education. Since the rapid development of digital technologies requires corresponding changes in the content and teaching methods, it becomes obvious that teachers must have not only basic skills in working with computer systems, but also a deeper understanding of the principles and tools of digital pedagogy. The article highlights the importance of forming ICT competencies as an important aspect of the readiness of future specialists to work in the information society. The authors investigate how the formation of ICT competences contributes to the improvement of the quality of education, providing teachers with opportunities for individualization and an innovative approach to teaching.

The purpose of the work is to substantiate theoretical approaches and determine effective methods of developing ICT competencies among students of pedagogical institutions of higher education.

The research methodology is based on the use of a systematic approach that combines theoretical and empirical methods, including the analysis and synthesis of literary sources, student questionnaires, pedagogical observation and analysis of curricula. An experimental method was also used to assess the level of formation of students' ICT competencies.

The scientific novelty of the study consists in determining the optimal conditions and methods that contribute to the effective formation of ICT competencies in future teachers, in particular through the integration of digital technologies into the educational process, the use of gamification and project-based learning methods.

Conclusions. The results of the study show that the successful formation of ICT competences depends on the systematic involvement of students in working with information and communication technologies, as well as on the training of teachers for the introduction of modern digital tools in the process of teacher training. The article presents recommendations on the adaptation of educational programs to ensure the necessary level of ICT competence of graduates of pedagogical specialties.
