Abstract

A comparative analysis of programs for children and youth sports schools of the WKF, WKC and Funakoshi-shotokan karate versions was conducted in order to determine ways to improve the structure of the WKF version program.

Objective. The purpose of the work is to theoretically substantiate and reveal the content of methodological tools aimed at ensuring a balanced structure of the karate training process according to the WKF program.

Methodology. The methodological basis of the study is based on a comprehensive approach that provides a thorough analysis of the karate training process, which includes the use of theoretical methods of generalization, abstraction, concretization, and comparative analysis. Comparative analysis allows identifying differences between the WKF, WKC and Funakoshi-shotokan program versions, determing their advantages and disadvantages. The empirical part of the study involves testing athletes according to the WKF version and assessing the development of special motor qualities, technical and tactical skills at the stage of specialized basic training. The application of statistical methods ensures the reliability of the results obtained.

Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty lies in the theoretical substantiation of the improvement of the karate training process according to the WKF program based on the integration of effective elements of the WKC and Funakoshi-Shotokan program versions. The proposed methodology includes innovative approaches to improving physical training, technical and tactical skills and psychological resilience of athletes.

Conclusions. The comparative analysis shows that the effectiveness of the karate training process largely depends on the harmonious combination of theoretical, physical, and technical and tactical training. The WKF program, despite the effectiveness of technical and tactical skills, requires improvement in the direction of increasing the time for physical training and strengthening the theoretical component. The experience of the WKC and Funakoshi-Shotokan program versions, which demonstrate significant results in these areas, can be integrated into the WKF program to achieve consistently high results in competitive conditions.
