Abstract

The purpose of the work is to improve the educational and training process of volleyball players at the stage of initial training.

To achieve the set goal, the following tasks are planned to be solved: 1. To determine the features of the organization and conducting of the volleyball training process at the stage of initial training. 2. To investigate the level of technical and motor preparedness of children in the experimental and control groups. 3. To develop and experimentally verify the effectiveness of the application of the methodology for the development of motor qualities of children 10-12 years old during volleyball classes at the stage of initial training.

Methodology. The research was conducted in 2023-2024 at the National University Chernihiv Collegium named after T. H. Shevchenko at the Department of Sports and on the basis of the Chernihiv Regional Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School. The study involved 28 children who played volleyball 3 times a week for two hours during one school year. The training process included a methodology for developing motor skills during volleyball lessons. Children in the experimental group practiced according to the methodology for developing motor skills developed by us, taking into account the results of the previous testing and using sensory equipment, while children in the control group practiced according to the generally accepted methodology.

Scientific novelty. is the improved methodology for developing motor skills of volleyball players aged 10-12 at the stage of initial training.

Conclusions. The effectiveness of the implementation of the experimental method in the educational and training process of volleyball players has been proven. A significant increase in the level of development of motor qualities in all control tests among students of the experimental group has been obtained.
