Abstract

The article explores modern approaches to the formation of pedagogical skills of future physical education teachers. The issue of students mastering knowledge of physical education and the formation of health priorities should occupy an important place in the system of higher value orientations of people of different social and age groups, and on this basis, the improvement of physical condition is important in this context. It should be noted that today's conditions require educators to have high-quality professional training, a component of which is pedagogical skills. The high-quality acquisition of professional competencies by students of higher education lays the foundation for the formation of pedagogical skills of future physical education teachers. To determine the formation of pedagogical skills of future physical education teachers, the author of the article identified the following criteria: motivational-value, organizational-activity, reflexive-perceptual, and content. It has been proven that an important component of the formation of pedagogical skills of future physical education teachers is pedagogical practice, which is inseparable from theoretical knowledge and independent activity in educational institutions where future teachers are trained. The process of organizing and holding sports festivals and performances contributed to the formation of an understanding of the pedagogical profession as a certain mission among future physical education teachers, which is aimed at solving educational, upbringing and health-improving tasks in the educational field.

The purpose of the article is to determine the content of the formation of pedagogical skills of future physical education teachers by means of sports festivals and spectacles.

The research methodology is the systematization and study of scientific publications, analysis of scientific and educational and methodological literature, Internet sources, disclosure of the main definitions of the problem under study, generalizations and conclusions.

The scientific novelty lies in determining the effective impact of the process of organizing and conducting sports festivals and spectacles on the formation of pedagogical skills of future physical education teachers, which contributes to the formation of professional competencies of qualified specialists in the educational field.

Conclusions. The author of the article comes to the conclusion that pedagogical skill is a manifestation of high results of pedagogical activity, the ability to realize and actualize one's own creative potential and effective ways of building pedagogical processes. It is sports festivals and spectacles that form didactic and academic abilities, perceptual competence, language and organizational abilities, the ability to direct attention to several types of activity at the same time, and communication skills in future physical education teachers. A high level of pedagogical skill acquired during studies at a higher education institution, together with developed components and characteristics of the personality, forms a new «quality» in further pedagogical work.
