Abstract

The choice of the research topic and its relevance is caused by the problems of human existence and life in the current conditions of military operations, that means the students, as a certain category of society, are in risk conditions where there are no stereotypes. Life activities in such conditions depend on how quickly they can orient and strengthen themselves in accordance with the developed quality in overcoming psychological barriers. There is a need to teach students to perceive danger in a stable psychological state. A physically prepared student without purposeful development of special qualities does not always achieve a positive result in making the right decision and in choosing motor actions in critical situations. First of all, they must critically assess their own motor capabilities (abilities), regulate emotions, neuromuscular tension, control the condition and functions of the body. The development of special qualities, such as: communication skills, concentration, perception of danger, creative abilities, motor sensitivity, willpower, flexibility can be decisive at the time of threat. An important component of the basic training of students is that the development of these qualities provides the ability to predict a threat and thereby build their own further behavior. The development of special qualities contributes to the assessment of risks in various critical environmental conditions.

The mythological basis is based oh classical research methods: the method of analysis, the dialecrical method, explanation and generalization. The research is aimed at expanding the basic training of students on the development of those special qualities that increase their ability to orient themselves in a timely manner and make the right decisions during their stay in the risk zone. Therefore, one of the tasks was to determine the list of qualities that are a priority for their further development and to check the level of stability in overcoming the psychological barrier based on specific exercises (for instance). The content of the special quality development is presented in the format of theses (abbreviated form), and the methods and principles of qualities formation are mainly suggested.

The scientific novelty is that the development of special qualities in students within their stay in the risk zone is conceptually considered for the first time.

Conclusions. It is noted that, according to the results of the study, the students show determination and self-confidence. However, there is a caution that some students do not quite correctly assess (overestimate) their own capabilities and put their health at risk. The threat level and the student's capabilities do not match. In further research, it makes sense, in accordance with the development of this topic, to teach students to recognize the degree of a potential threat by the level of its manifestation. The methods in the research can be used in selection of students for activities in various difficult situations according to their abilities, and also be a supplement for such thematic disciplines as «Self-defense», «Self-protection» or «Life safety».
