This study proves the importance of modernizing the interpretation of the term «Health» for the future of society. This is caused, firstly, by a whole range of civilizational processes that are occurring and significantly impacting public health. Specifically, they lead to a deterioration of the population's health and demographic situation, the growing prevalence of chronic diseases, global disasters, and are accompanied by the development of modern technologies (DNA analysis, artificial intelligence, smart gadgets, etc.), which, in turn, contribute to information overload and stress, as well as the application of algorithms based on health criteria to monitor a person's condition. Secondly, it is caused by the discrepancy with scientific accuracy, practical application, interdisciplinary coherence, individualization, and socialization of the interpretation of the term «Health».
The modern definition of health is the foundation for technologies, policies, the ability to live in conditions of uncertainty, and personal responsibility. Without a clear definition, it is impossible to form the resilience of society to new challenges, develop preventive directions, assess the effectiveness of artificial intelligence in diagnostics, measure the health level of the population, compare data between countries, and so on. The definition of the term «Health» at the current stage of society's development is considered an important tool for improving the quality of human life.
