Abstract

The physical training of officers of the State Criminal and Executive Service of Ukraine needs to be improved, taking into account the challenges associated not only with the ongoing reform of the penitentiary system in our country, but also with the need to take into account a number of factors that have affected the system of training and professional development of penitentiary specialists in higher education institutions in the conditions of war.

The purpose of the article is to determine the main directions of improving the physical training of officers of the State Criminal and Executive Service of Ukraine in the system of graduate continuous professional education in the conditions of war.

The methodology of the study is based on the analysis, generalization and systematization of information sources, regulatory documents in the field of training of officers of the State Criminal and Executive Service of Ukraine, the results of a survey and questionnaire of cadets and students of advanced training courses for penitentiary officers.

Results of the study. The article presents the results of a comprehensive analysis of the curricula in the field of physical training of cadets and students of advanced training of the State Criminal and Executive Service of Ukraine and a survey and questionnaire of penitentiary officers during training to identify the impact of various factors on their physical condition, physical performance and stress resistance. This made it possible to identify significant indicators of the impact of the systematic nature of general and special physical training on the process of forming sustainable skills for maintaining health, maintaining physical performance, and motivation to develop personal physical and psychological professionally important qualities in the process of training in the conditions of war.

Scientific novelty. A comprehensive study was conducted, the results of which allowed to determine the main directions for improving the physical training of officers of the State Criminal and Executive System of Ukraine as an important component of the formation of their professional competence and functional readiness to improve the efficiency of performance of service and professional tasks.
