Conclusions. Thus, museum pedagogy as a well-established, but at the same time innovative means of influencing children and youth has a significant potential for patriotic education. It is realized through certain areas, content, and forms of museum work with children and youth. Museum pedagogy contributes to solving the problems of patriotic education, as museums, especially school museums, contribute to the formation of national consciousness, love for the Motherland and respect for historical heritage. They provide an opportunity to «plunge» into the past, to learn about the heroic pages of history, prominent personalities, cultural heritage, folk customs and traditions. In the context of patriotic education, it is important that museum pedagogy serves as a link between history and the present. Museums help us understand how the past influences the present and what lessons we can learn from history to build a better future. Given today's challenges, museum pedagogy plays an important role in fostering patriotism, especially among children and youth who are the future of Ukraine. It helps to resist the influence of negative information influences and to form conscious citizens who love their country and are ready to defend it.
Both the use of museum pedagogy in the educational process and various aspects of the extremely relevant issue of patriotic education of children and youth are promising for further research.
